Community Engaged Art

What is community dance?

Community engaged dancers and choreographers create opportunities for all of us to experience the joys and health benefits of dancing. They work in a variety of styles and traditions.

Collective art making, including dance, develops trust and appreciation for diversity among participants. An inclusive and supportive approach to dance invites all people to enjoy and explore their own expressive movement potential at any and all stages of life.

We acknowledge these lands as the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh People. With gratitude, we create responsible and socially engaged art on theseĀ Coast Salish traditional lands.
